Customization Options for a Mobile Display Cart

A display cart is not only a tool for showing your products. It is a piece of your brand that customers stand in front of, so the finish, the logo and the layout all do work for you. This is an overview of everything we can change on a Cartssify cart, with the prices and, just as importantly, the things that have to be decided before the cart is built. Full details and current pricing are on the customization options page.

1. Finish and colour

Every cart is built from Baltic birch plywood, 12 mm on the standard cart and 15 mm on the Heavy-Duty. What changes is the finish on top of it.

  • Natural birch with a transparent matte varnish, so the grain and colour of the plywood stay visible. This is the standard finish.
  • Painted white, which reads clean and bright against a dark venue and photographs well.
  • Painted black, which lets the cart recede so your equipment and branding carry the attention.
  • A colour you choose. Send us the colour reference with your order and the cart is painted to match before it is assembled.

The worktop and the body are finished together, so the cart arrives as one piece of your brand rather than a base with a different top bolted on.

2. Logo and branding

The front panel is the surface customers look at while they wait, so it is where branding goes. There are four ways to put your logo on it.

  • Engraved, 100 EUR. Your logo is cut directly into the plywood. Permanent, and it reads well in natural birch.
  • Engraved and painted, 180 EUR. The same engraving, then filled with one or two colours for more contrast. You give us the NCS colour codes.
  • Printed sticker, 90 EUR. We print and apply it, so the cart arrives ready to trade.
  • Slide-in logo panel, 100 EUR. A slot in the front panel takes a printed insert that slides in and out, so you can change artwork between events without marking the cart. This is the one to choose if you run different brands, menus or sponsors across a season.

For something bolder, a full vinyl wrap covers the whole cart in your own artwork. Ask us for a quote on that one, since the price depends on the design.

Logos need to arrive as a vector file (.ai, .cdr, .eps or .pdf). If you only have a .jpg or .png, we can convert it for 100 EUR.

3. Shelving and storage

  • The shelf that comes with it. Every cart includes one shelf with three height positions, rated to 80 kg, so you can set the gap to whatever you store under the worktop.
  • An extra shelf, 120 EUR. The cart body takes two in total. Most sellers who run a full day without restocking from a vehicle end up wanting the second one.
  • On the portable counters extra shelves are a product option instead, 50 EUR for one or 80 EUR for two, up to three shelves in total.

Separately from the carts, the modular shelving range has its own stackable units and an outside corner module, for when you need a full height retail display rather than storage inside a cart.

4. Worktop cut-outs

This is the one customization that cannot be added later. Cut-outs are machined while the cart is being built, so they have to be settled with your order.

  • Standard layouts, 50 EUR. Six versions, sized for a Barista Basic knock box and a Rhino pitcher rinser, including one with an umbrella hole.
  • Your own drawing, also 50 EUR. Sketch the worktop as a 1800 x 750 mm rectangle, mark each opening with its size and its distance from the edges in millimetres, and send it in any format. A photo of a hand drawing is fine.

If you tell us the espresso machine and grinder you run, we check the footprint against the worktop before production starts and send you a proof to approve. That check costs nothing and it is the difference between equipment that fits and equipment that does not.

5. Joining carts into a bar

Carts are not only used on their own. Straight connectors and corner connectors join them into the modular event bars, in a straight line, an L or a U.

  • Straight connector. Two or three carts become one continuous counter, roughly 5.4 m of worktop across three carts before spacing.
  • Closed corner. Gives customers an unbroken face and leaves a protected area behind the bar.
  • Open corner. Leaves the inside of the angle accessible, which matters when two people work the bar or customers approach from more than one direction.

Only the four cart U-shape kit can be rearranged between a U, an L or one long line, because it ships with both connector types. A straight or L-shape set ships with only the connectors its own layout needs.

6. Transport and outdoor use

Every cart flat packs, which is a feature of the design rather than an option you add.

  • Flat pack size 750 x 1000 x 185 mm. The cart comes apart, stands on its own wheels and is held with transport straps, so it fits in an ordinary car.
  • Wheels. Four are included, two swivel with brakes and two fixed. A safety belt and handlebar come with it for moving the packed cart.
  • Assembly. About 3 to 5 minutes for a single cart with the tool in the set, 5 to 10 minutes for a multi cart bar.

On weather, we would rather be straight with you than sell you something that fails. The finish is water resistant, not waterproof. Use the cart indoors or under cover, and do not leave it standing in rain. If you work outdoor markets, the canopy version comes with a roof frame and a white fabric canopy that gives you light cover from sun and splashes and a defined edge in a crowded venue. Other canopy colours may be available, so ask before production.

Deciding what you actually need

Cut-outs and finish have to be chosen before the cart is built. Shelves, connectors and a slide-in panel can all be added later. If you are unsure, start with the standard cart and the slide-in panel, since that combination keeps the most doors open, then add what the first season tells you that you need.

Prices on this page are in euro. If you are browsing in another currency the store converts them, and checkout shows the amount you will actually pay. Send us your idea through the custom build enquiry form and we will come back with options and pricing.
