How Much Does a Mobile Coffee Cart Cost? 2026 Price Guide

A professional mobile coffee cart from Cartssify costs between €1,800 and €3,200, depending on the model and the options you add. A multi cart bar built from two to four carts runs from €4,260 to €9,570, and a portable counter for a smaller setup costs €700 to €980. Prices are from our shop in September 2026 and exclude VAT.

Below is what each model costs, what pushes the price up or down, and what else belongs in your budget before your first service.

When one cart is not enough

Carts connect with straight and corner connectors into a longer bar. A two cart setup gives you roughly 3.6 metres of worktop, and a four cart U shape wraps around a serving area for a bigger event.

Setup Price
2 carts, straight €4,310 to €5,070
2 carts, L shape with an open corner €4,260 to €4,960
2 carts, L shape with a closed corner €4,460 to €5,160
Expandable 3 cart bar set with an extended worktop €5,800
3 carts, L shape €6,590 to €7,490
4 carts, U shape €8,370 to €9,570

The ranges inside each setup come from the finish and the branding you choose, so the lower number is the plain version and the higher one includes painted and branded panels. See the full range of modular event bars.

A smaller budget: portable counters

If you serve from a table or a market stall and only need a counter with storage, a portable counter display costs €700 to €980. It is 12 mm birch plywood, comes apart without tools, fits in a small car and takes one to three shelves. It has no space planned for a full espresso setup, so it suits filter coffee, samples, pastries and payment.

What changes the price of a coffee cart

  • Finish. Natural birch with a matte varnish is the base. White, black and custom paint colours add €150 to €300.
  • Logo. An engraved or painted logo on the front panel is €90 to €180. A slide in logo panel is €100 and lets you change artwork between events.
  • Worktop cut-outs. Each standard layout is €50. The standard cut-outs fit a Barista Basic knock box and a Rhino pitcher rinser, and a custom layout is cut from your own drawing for the same €50.
  • Storage. An extra shelf is €120.
  • Build. The Heavy-Duty version uses 15 mm plywood instead of 12 mm and carries 180 kg on the worktop, which matters if you run a two group machine with a grinder and a water tank.

What else to budget for

The cart is one line in the budget. Before your first service you also pay for:

  • Espresso machine and grinder. Usually the largest cost after the cart, and the choice between a single group and a two group machine decides how much worktop and power you need.
  • Power and water. A generator or a battery setup if the venue has no power, plus fresh and waste water containers.
  • Transport. The cart packs flat and travels in an ordinary car or van, so you do not need a trailer or a van conversion.
  • Permits and insurance. These depend on your country and the events you work, so check locally before you commit to a schedule.
  • Cups, beans, milk and a payment terminal. Small items that add up for the first month.

How it compares with the alternatives

A coffee trailer or a converted van costs several times more than a cart and needs a towing vehicle, parking and a bigger permit. It pays off if you work long outdoor days in any weather. A cart is the cheaper way to start, and it goes indoors, into shopping centres, offices and exhibition halls where a trailer cannot follow. Having a joiner build a one off counter often lands near the price of a cart but without the flat pack transport, the connectors or the replacement parts.

Common questions

What is included in the price?
The cart, four wheels with two brakes, one adjustable shelf, the assembly tool, bolts and spare parts, a transport strap and a handlebar, plus assembly instructions. The espresso equipment is not included.

Do I pay customs or import tax?
Prices exclude VAT. Private buyers in the European Union pay VAT at checkout, and businesses in other EU countries with a valid VAT number buy without VAT. US buyers: we ship with import duty paid. The duty is shown as a separate line at checkout, so there is nothing more to pay on delivery. In other countries outside the EU you pay your local taxes and customs, and we provide the paperwork for clearance.

How long until I get it?
Production takes about 3 weeks, then delivery takes 3 to 7 business days. Current shipping details are on our shipping page.

Can I pay for one cart now and extend the bar later?
Yes. The connectors are what turn carts into a straight, L shaped or U shaped bar, so a single cart bought today can become a two or three cart bar without replacing anything.

Is it waterproof?
No. The plywood is water resistant with a finish that resists coffee stains, so use it indoors or under cover, or add the canopy.

Working out your own number

Take the model that fits your machine, add the finish and logo you want, add €50 for each worktop cut-out and €120 for an extra shelf. That total is the price before VAT. Private buyers in the EU add VAT at checkout, and businesses in other EU countries with a valid VAT number buy without VAT. If you tell us the espresso machine and grinder you run, we check the footprint against the worktop before production.
